LEAVE NO TRACE

The Manor Fields Adare supports the principles of Leave No Trace Ireland (www.leavenotraceireland.org)

As such all users of the Manor Fields, including teams playing matches here, families having picnics, walkers/joggers and families using the playground are asked to bring their litter home with them.

International practice has proven that having bins in outdoor recreation areas actually results in having more litter build up, resulting in rodents and flies etc. Based on this there are no bins at The Manor Fields to encourage users to dispose of their litter in a responsible manner at home.

We appreciate your assistance in this matter

In order to minimise the / your social and environmental impact on the outdoors, please follow the principles of Leave No Trace Ireland when visiting the Manor Fields as well as every where else.

Leave No Trace Ireland is an outdoor ethics programme designed to promote and inspire responsible outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. It is based on seven principles which encourage people to make better decisions when using the outdoors such as encouraging people to do things like picking up their litter, keeping their dog under control and preventing the creation of new trails.
